So I wanted to share with you guys that I am currently sewing! As if I don't have enough to do already! But it is a relaxing break while Photoshop is doing it's jazz and I am sitting there watching Barnie for the 13th time sing the same song! So check out my stuff there should be more to come later. But I have got to get back to work tommorow and finish some albums and editing for you wonderful brides!

Photographers are a tight knit group –and what we love most is gabbing about getting hot, rockin’ images, and what makes or breaks a shoot. After having been through the ins and outs of countless wedding days, we photographers have so much to share with brides and grooms, not only to help them get amazing photographs, but also to fully enjoy their wedding celebration.
I asked eight of my favorite wedding photographers to spell out some of their best advice on getting the images you always dreamed of. Follow this advice, and your wedding day joy will shine in every shot:
1. PUT US ON TRIAL

“Take some time at the first meeting with the photographer and do an engagement session so that you can all practice working together. Treat it like a trial run, and be sure to tell your photographer what you loved and didn’t love from that session. Yes I stayed up alllllll night editing the final part of this amazing photo session. But it was good because I got a chance to stay up and watch the election unfold. No I didn't vote for Obama or McCain. I voted libiterian although I knew it was almost like voting for Obama by default, maybe he won't be that bad :). BUT it is pretty awesome that we finally have an African American president! What's next a woman? An Asian American woman? A Hispanic American? For that I am proud for our nation!

Ok so about the shoot, well this last part I didn't go to the typical downtown austin engagement shots. We went to Aaron's grandparent's house and they own a good chunck of land in Georgetown. Nikki had this idea of shooting with balloons it came out so super cute! Then while Nikki was changing Aaron told me about his treehouse that he built with his grandpa (his grandparents raised him) it was a pretty cool treehouse that I had to do a couple of shots with them in it. Came to find out that Nikki was the first (and last :) girl to be allowed in the "boy's only" treehouse.

This couple was soooo fun to work with! We went to a club called The Belmont in downtown Austin,TX and shot 20-40's inspired shots. Then we headed out to Georgetown,TX and shot in a feild with pink balloons so check back soon for those shots! Enjoy!

Oh my gosh we had soooo much fun! We started out at the mural behind Freebirds on South Congress, I have been wanting to go there for a while then I started seeing that same location on other photographer blogs. But I still did it so there :P I figured that I still wanted to do it and it fit Ashley's personality. So I will post those later but I just had to show you the photos of her jumping into Barton Springs. We weren't suppose to do it, but it was a slow day and we went ahead and did it anyway- rebels! I also would like to thank Davielle my trusty sidekick/assistant for being there for these and helping us convince them we needed to do it!

I am soooooo excited!! I am featured on Barbara's Brides blog! She is a local wedding coordinator that I recently worked with on Ashley's wedding 8/8/8. She was awesome! She went over and beyond, when things went wrong and some people didn't show to set up the reception (not Barbara's fault) she stepped in the DAY OF the wedding and set it up and it look BEAUTIFUL! She is a knot pick 2008! It was so nice to work on a wedding with a consultant! It went so much smoother than other weddings without. Ashley's bridal portrait - PART ONE Sneek Peek

We are going to do a trash the dress session. This is part one- we didn't quite have enough daylight to work it all out so we are going to schedule another session. I like to plan three hour bridal shoots and this time Ashley rushed after work but we still only had about 45 mins before the sun was totally gone. That is ok I think she might jump in next time!!!!

This was such a fun wedding! The bride and groom were a sweet couple that didn't take anything too seriously. I totally LOVED the Super Mario brother cake!!!! I remember when we got that game as kids, my brother and I played it ALLLL day until we couldn't move our little fingers anymore! But we finally managed to defeat the mighty BOWSER! Good times!
